House of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Lviv (1898 – 1912)

House in Lviv (Vynnychenka str. 26), where in 1898 – 1912 had been situated Shevchenko Scientific Society.

When a basic institutions of society stay in this house, Franko's activity as head of the philological section of the Society gain a peak. He was also a board member of "Literary and Scientific Journal" and one of the leaders of Ukrainian publishing associations.
