New article on history of literature
In the section "History of literature" published review "A New History of Ukrainian Literature" (1911).
Efremov motivates his own method of finding the ideological basis of writing and finds such a basis in the liberation idea of Ukrainian nationality.
New story
We publish story «Odi profanum vulgus» (1899).
Mr. Vincent stood like a corpse, and did not dare to look at that small, half-burnt body, at that yellowed and blue face, at those wide-open lips.

New article on history of literature
In the section "History of literature" published review "S. A. Corf. A note on the relationship of the Old Russian chronicler to the monarchical principle" (1910).
It should be clear to anyone who is even a little acquainted with our old chronicles that we are dealing there not with one person, but with many authors of different times and different classes.
New short story
We publish short story "Pike" (1899).
Here, directly under the pike, on a smooth clay bottom, a whole herd of thick-bellied gudgeons is dozing. They lie next to each other, rough and handsome, like chickens on a perch.

New about Ivan Franko
We publish A. Bozhuk’s article "Franko and Crimea" (2020).
The publication is one of the direct evidences that there were people in the Crimea at the end of the XIX century who remembered the Ukrainian national ancient culture.

The story of the Pannonian preacher consists of two stories, one of which takes place in the Jordan, during the feast of the Baptism of Jesus, and the other takes place on the night before Easter.

Sharp satire on our hard pains – characterlessness and shamelessness, renegade and self-aggrandizement. This can be called the ideological basis of the title "Budyatyntsi".

In the section "History of literature" published article "Vij, scabby Bunyak and Judas Iscariot" (1907).
The paragraph, appended to the Register of the Apostles by Sophronius, is interesting because it knows nothing about the "field of blood" and gives completely different details about the end of Judas, no doubt also legendary.

In the section "History of literature" published preface to the M. Dragomanov’s article "Shevchenko, Ukrainophiles and Socialism" (1906).
The article provoked a formal fright in some areas of Galician Ukrainophiles of the time, as if publicly, loudly spoken blasphemy.

In the section "History of literature" published article "The Cause for the Ukrainian Verse Writing of the 18th Century" (1906).
We have in front of the text of an old manuscript a piece of card from the eighteenth century, on which an interesting verse on the Resurrection was written.
